Songstress Wendy Shay, has, in her latest track dubbed ‘Keep Moving’ said she sees a lot of haters in her way as far her career is concerned.

It is not clear whether the lyrics are in connection with the news about the abrogation of her ambassadorial contract with the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Ghana.

There were reports on Monday that the Ghanaian Afropop and afrobeat singer had been sacked as an ambassador of YEA following her photo gaffe.

The reports were spurred by the omission of Wendy’s name from a list of celebrities working for the YEA as ambassadors.

The list had Kwabena Anokye Adisi, Journalist/ CEO, EIB Group / Start-Up consultant; Bryan Amoateng, Pastor, Author, Life Coach, Entrepreneur, Founder, International Youth Empowerment Summit (IYES) who is also the President, Bryan Jones Outreach; Jackie Appiah, award-winning actress, entrepreneur; Bibi Bright – Actress, Entrepreneur, Humanitarian; Emelia Brobbey – Actress, Trained Teacher and Journalist; Rebecca Donkor – CEO, MakeUp Ghana, Start-Up Consultant, Founder/CEO Healthcare Management.

The media inferred from the omission that Wendy Shay had been dropped following the viral circulation on social media, of a sexy photo she took with former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

But responding to the claims on its official Facebook page, the management of YEA said: “Wendy Shay has not been sacked as an ambassador of YEA.”

Wendy Shay, in her track released on Tuesday, 9 July 2019, said if she loses her job, it does not mean she has lost her life.

“I see haters on the road.”

“They took my diamonds from my hands but I keep rising.”

“If I lose my job, it doesn’t mean I have lost my life”, a stanza in her song said.
