Emelia Brobbey Set For First Live Performance
You’ve heard her studio recordings and drawn your conclusions about them but it is now time to hear actress-turned-singer, Emelia Brobbey, live on stage with a band.
This comes off on February 14 at the leading entertainment joint in Koforidua, Dadi’s Bar. She will be backed by the resident Dadi’s Band led by Ohene ‘Jah Glory’ Agyeman.
Emelia has been one of the most talked-about celebs in this country since November last year when she came out with her debut single, Fame Ko.
Many followers of the music scene didn’t respond positively to that song. She was, however, calm about the reaction and went back to the studio to work on another track called Odo Electric which features Wendy Shay.
Her camp has said she has collaborations lined up with some heavyweights on the music scene here and her repertoire for the Koforidua show is expected to include hints of songs to come in the next few months.
By all indications, the transition from acting to singing has not been all that smooth for the young lady. She has, however, constantly shown what a determined soul she is and is already set to plunge into performing live.
“Many Koforidua residents are already excited about Emelia Brobbey stepping up for a live bash in their city,” said Dadi’s Band leader, Ohene Agyeman. “We are all looking forward to an enjoyable evening.”
Other artistes on the Dadi’s Bar Val’s Day event are Ennwai, Daasebreba Kwame, Candy B, Rany Dope and Sean Khare. They will all be backed by Dadi’s Band.
