Judith Adobea: A Disabled Woman Seeking Support to Achieve Her Educational Dreams

Judith Adobea, a 30-year-old woman whose dream was to become a nurse, has faced unexpected challenges after being paralyzed in infancy. She was born in Akyem Takrowase in the Eastern Region of Ghana as the eldest of four siblings. Despite her circumstances, she has continued to persevere and work towards her goals.

Since her youth, Judith has aspired to enter the nursing profession. However, financial constraints have prevented her from enrolling in a nursing school.

In May of this year, I shared an article detailing her journey, the events leading to her disability, and the daily struggles she endures.

Judith has expressed, “If I had the opportunity to go back to school, I would become a Nurse or Human Resource.” Recently, her dream of pursuing a career in Human Resources has come closer to reality, as she received admission to the University of Cape Coast to pursue a four-year Bachelor of Commerce degree in Human Resource Management.

Now, her primary obstacles are funding and access to a laptop, which she needs for her studies. Judith is appealing to the public and organizations to help her fulfill her ambition of pursuing higher education.

Her family, who work as peasant farmers, have supported her education through senior high school at Asuom Senior High School, but they are unable to provide further financial assistance.

Mother Teresa once said, “Do things for people not because of who they are or what they do in return, but because of who you are.”

To support Judith, please reach out to her at 0595750829.
