Three Young Ladies Suspended In Church For Being Pregnant
The head pastor of Glory Temple, a branch of the Assemblies of God Ghana at Densuano near Koforidua, Rev. Lambert Xatse has suspended three pregnant ladies in the youth ministry of the church for being pregnant before marriage for three months.
They are to sit at the back stage of the church during church service as per the constitution of the church.
Rev Xatse said disciplining people in the church was to serve as a deterrent to others.
He urged members of the Church to draw closer to the victims, advice, encourage and pray for them to be able to stand up in serving God as good Christians.
Rev Xatse urged all Christians to be discipline in their endeavours in their homes, churches and as citizens of the country.
Rev Xatse who was speaking during a church service, said Christians must be submissive to the word of God by running away from any ungodly activities and also abide by the tenets of the society.
He advised them to keep their environment clean since God does not dwell in an unclean environment.
Rev Xatse urged, parents to punish their children when they go wayward as the book of Proverbs states “He who withholds his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him diligently”.
