Calista Amoateng Made Tourism Ambassador For Ghana
Miss Teen Tourism World 2022, Calista Amoateng launched her project at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel amidst glitz and glamour recently.
Her project is The Star Alignment Project targeted at youth empowerment and poverty eradication. For Calista winning the ultimate at the world event, Ghana was unveiled as the host for Miss Teen Tourism World 2023.
Calista Amoateng was made a Tourism Ambassador for Ghana at the event and was decorated by the Chief of Staff, Mrs Frema Osei Opare who was the special guest of honour at the event which was well attended by the crème de la crème of society.
Speaking at the event, the Chief of Staff was full of praises for Calista for achieving so much at such a young age.
“Her efforts, her zeal and achievement at this very young age, representing Ghana on the world stage is not an easy task and it is admirable to see the grace, the poise, the confidence with which Calista flew the flag of Ghana high to win the Miss Teen Tourism World 2022 in Manila in the Phillipines, Congratulations.
“It is not a small feat and we haven’t made enough noise I think but from now, I think we will make more noise. We need to celebrate our successes and the successes of young people like Calista.
“It is inevitable that when girls are empowered, they can drive a lot of greatness. It is our desire as government to ensure that young girls are given opportunities to explore their talents with a lot of guidance. As we empower young girls, we should also remember to also bring along our young boys,” she said.
There were performances by Obaapa Christy, Piesie Esther, Jayana, Selassie Brown and KK Fosu.
In another development, Calista recently visited widows of Akrofi Foundation at Atimpoku to support them financially. She also held free medical screening at Efutu in the Central Region.
She visited new born babies at the Achimota Hospital on Christmas Day to donate to them and also had a children’s party at Jamestown on Boxing Day as part of the project work she is embarking on.
