The Accra Metropolitan Assembly on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020 embarked on a demolishing exercise at the Jamestown Fishing Harbor rendering over 200 dwellers homeless.
The demolishing exercise is to pave way for the construction of a fishing harbor in Jamestown.
According to some residents who spoke to classicghana.com, they are not against the exercise, but hope that, the project in a way creates employment for the youth in the area.
An elderly man called Ankrah said, “this is not the first time such exercise has been conducted here, I wish this time, the project comes to life so the place will be clean to attract tourism and generate revenue for the country. We all want the project to be done, so we the people will be happy”.
Below are some photos of the demolishing captured by Classic Ghana.
