Rainstorm Destroys Six-Classroom Block in Central Tongu District

A rainstorm has destroyed a six-classroom block at Mafi Atitekpo D.A. Basic School in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region.

All the pupils from the six classrooms are now learning under trees, making it difficult for them to cope with their studies.

According to a report by an eyewitness named William, he spoke with the MP of the area, who stated that they are making arrangements for the construction of the school building, especially the roofing.

The MP assured that the structure will be fixed and restored to normal as soon as funds become available.

The roofing sheets of the building have been scattered around the area, and the situation requires urgent attention to enable the pupils to return to their classrooms.

As the rainy season approaches, this situation could create chaos for both the children and teachers if it remains unresolved.

The school authorities are, therefore, calling on individuals and organizations that can support the school to help fix the problem as soon as possible before the rainy season begins.
