The 8th Edition of Africa Makeup & Beauty Fair: A Sustainable Path for the Fashion Industry in Africa

The 8th edition of the Africa Makeup and Beauty Fair took place over the weekend on November 8-9, 2024, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. This year’s fair was themed “Sustainable Synergy for Eco-Empowerment in a Changing Climate,” emphasizing the importance of building a sustainable path for Africa’s fashion and beauty industry.

The Africa Makeup and Beauty Fair serves as a powerful platform for cultural empowerment, enabling both men and women to excel in the industry for personal and economic growth.

Rebecca Donkor, CEO of Makeup Ghana, noted that the fair offers support to exhibitors and vendors, helping them create jobs for themselves and contribute to the country’s economy. She added that preparations are underway for the 10th anniversary of the Africa Makeup and Beauty Fair, which promises to be even bigger and more exciting, with free training, scholarships, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. According to her, the industry has thrived, and it’s now time to give back to society.

The two-day event featured a fashion show, panel discussions, a hair and beauty show, and live demonstrations across various sectors of the beauty industry. The 8th edition of the Ghana Beauty Awards also took place on Sunday, celebrating excellence within the beauty industry to inspire high standards of service.

The event connects local and international brands, manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors with new customers, markets, and strategic partners.

The Africa Makeup & Beauty Fair (AMB Fair) is an annual event dedicated to showcasing and connecting the African makeup and beauty industry with global consumers, vendors, partners, and service providers.
