Wendy Shay: I’ve Never Been An Underground Artiste
Ruff Town Record signee Wendy Shay has disclosed that she never had the experience of being an underground artiste, thanks to her manager, Bullet.
According to Wendy Shay who spoke in an interview with BRYT TV monitored by MyNewsGH.com, she quickly rose to fame with her maiden Uber Driver song.
“Coming into the music industry was a mystery. Nobody saw me coming and then I just came”, she disclosed.
“I came with my first song ‘Uber Driver’. Bullet just introduced me on the VGMA big stage and in the next month I was everywhere. I have been like that, that is my personality and it’s hard to figure me out.
“When it comes to me, I always find new things about myself which is very intriguing and amazing”, Wendy Shay said.
Born Wendy Asiamah Addo, Wendy Shay announced her presence on the Ghanaian music scene with Uber Driver in 2018.
She has since then wowed music followers with chart topping songs such as Bedroom Commando, Astalavista, Psalm 35, The Boy Is Mine, Masakra, All For You, Shay On You, Kut, Heat, Heaven and Survivor.
She gushed about her growth in the industry. “My personality has grown. People cannot understand me, that is why I call myself an enigma, because an enigma is something it is hard to understand”, she said.
