Five police officers interdicted over misuse of uniform on social media

The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five officers for alleged acts of misconduct involving the unauthorised use of police uniforms on social media platforms.

The affected officers are No. 45545 G/Sgt Samuel Agbemanyale, No. 50300 G/Cpl Isaac Mpere, No. 51816 G/Cpl Samuel Agbo, No. 56563 G/Cpl Charles Oduro, and No. 14494 PW/Const Elizabeth Dicka Korkor.

In a statement, the Police Service said the interdictions are part of efforts to uphold discipline, professionalism and the integrity of the Service, particularly in the use of official uniforms and imagery.

The officers have since been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) for further investigations and appropriate disciplinary action in line with police regulations.

The Police Service reiterated its commitment to enforcing ethical standards and warned officers against actions that could bring the Service into disrepute, especially on social media.
