2025 Ghana Tourism Awards set for November 14

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, is set to host the 2025 National Tourism Awards on Friday, November 14, 2025.

The event, to be held at The Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, will be on the theme: “Celebrating Ghanaian Ingenuity and Excellence in Tourism: The Black Star Experience”.

A release issued to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday, in Accra, said the event would celebrate distinction, innovation, and leadership within Ghana’s tourism, hospitality, and creative arts sectors.

It would honour individuals and institutions whose excellence continued to define Ghana’s place on the global tourism map.

Instituted in 1997, the National Tourism Awards remains the premier platform for recognising excellence and dedication within the tourism ecosystem.

“The 2025 edition will spotlight trailblazers whose creativity, service, and resilience have helped position Ghana as the heartbeat of African tourism,” the release said.

The Special Guest of Honour is Mr Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff. The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, alongside other high-level dignitaries from government, the diplomatic corps, the private sector, and the creative industry will attend.

Mrs Maame Efua Houadjeto, the Chief Executive Officer of the GTA, said this year’s theme reflected Ghana’s growing confidence as a destination defined by creativity and originality.

“The Black Star Experience captures the soul of our nation, bold, inventive, and full of promise. Through this celebration, we honour the Ghanaian spirit that turns ideas into impact and passion into progress. Our industry thrives when we celebrate our own ingenuity and push the boundaries of excellence,” she said.

The awards night would feature cultural performances, artistic showcases, and displays of Ghanaian hospitality, offering guests an immersive experience of the nation’s creative energy and cultural pride.

“The GTA invites all stakeholders and the public to join in celebrating Ghanaian ingenuity and excellence in tourism,” Mrs Houadjeto said.
