A three-year-old boy, Christopher Amponsah, has died while ten others sustained injuries following a bee attack at Wawaase, a suburb of Agona Swedru in the Agona West Municipality of the Central Region.

The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on Friday when a swarm of bees attacked residents, causing panic as people ran for safety.

The young boy was unable to escape and was severely stung. He was later pronounced dead at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital while receiving treatment.

Speaking to Adom News, the Deputy Director for Technical at the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Agona West Municipality, Paul K. Appleh, confirmed the incident.

He said emergency response teams, including NADMO and personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, were dispatched to the scene to bring the situation under control.
