AfroFuture Community Health Fair Screens Market Women at Accra Business Central

The AfroFuture Foundation, in partnership with the Black Health Connect Foundation, has successfully organized its third annual Community Health Fair, dubbed “Mind Matters,” at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.

The initiative aimed to connect with local traders at the Accra Central Market by providing free healthcare services and wellness support. The health fair took place at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly compound, where traders from one of the city’s largest commercial hubs were mobilized to receive essential medical care.

As part of AfroFuture’s commitment to social responsibility, the event underscored the importance of prioritizing healthcare in everyday life while giving back to the community.

The transformative wellness event offered free health screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose, malaria, and sickle cell testing. Participants also benefited from interactive mental health workshops focused on stress management and practical coping strategies for modern life.

Comprehensive healthcare services were brought directly to the heart of the community, with the goal of screening and educating between 600 and 1,000 people, breaking down barriers to healthcare access and promoting a culture of wellness that extends beyond a single day.

The health fair brought together healthcare professionals, industry leaders, and innovators from across Africa and the diaspora, all working collaboratively to educate participants and provide free healthcare services.
