One person died last Wednesday while 14 others sustained injuries in a road crash on the Accra–Kumasi N6 highway.

The crash, which involved a MAN Diesel truck and a Toyota Hiace happened near Paradise Restaurant, reports Citinewsroom.com.

According to the Bunso Fire Station, a distress call was received at about 7:30 p.m., prompting the deployment of a six-member crew to the scene. The crew arrived at approximately 7:46 p.m. and found the two vehicles involved in the collision.

Preliminary information gathered from an eyewitness indicated that the MAN Diesel truck, with registration number AS 4765-11, was travelling towards Accra when the incident occurred.

The eyewitness reportedly said the truck was attempting to give way to a Toyota Vitz that was allegedly overtaking improperly.

The truck subsequently veered into the opposite lane, where it collided with the side of a Toyota Hiace, registered ER 655-25.
