The Ghana Federation of Disability Organisation (GFD) branch in the Oti Region, has submitted a petition to Parliament through the Oti Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC), to expedite action on the passage of the Legislative Instrument (L.I) for the Disability Act 2006 (Act-715).

The petition stressed that the L.I was crucial for ensuring access to education, healthcare, employment, and social services for PWDs.

‘We call on parliament to prioritise this to improve the lives of PWDs in Oti Region and Ghana as a whole,” Mr Donkor added.

Reverend Harry Nii Kwatei Owoo, Chief Director of the Oti Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC) upon receiving the petition, pledged to submit the petition to Oti Regional Minister, Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, who will forward it to the appropriate channel for parliament’s attention.
