Starboy Catom urges emerging artists to avoid unhealthy lifestyle, remain focus

Salifu Sulemana, an emerging Ghanaian recording artist in the Bono Region, has urged the youth in the music industry to avoid unhealthy lifestyles, instead remain focused and build their music career.

Popularly known in the music industry as Starboy Catom, Sulemana said with direction, reflection and meditation, emerging young music artists could make impacts in the industry and society at large.

Sulemana is spearheading the ‘Pure Heart Movement’ (PHM) to turn up the heat, as he gears up to serve the music community with his debut studio album, a body of work that promises to be a full-blown street anthem.

Speaking in an interview with the media in Sunyani, Sulemana said he had virtually completed his official release and would soon unveil the studio album.

Presently, he is undertaking a media tour to promote his latest single output, “Ahiafomba”, saying his forthcoming album embodied 10 tracks with collaborations from 2025 TGMA Best Hip Hop/Hiplife Artist winner, Kweku Smoke, and Uptown Energy artist, Tha Blackboi.

“The “Ahiafomba” song advises the youth to have a direction in life”, Sulemana explained, saying he was extremely glad that the song was making a tremendous impact in the music industry.

He explained that produced by DareMameBeat (DMB), “Ahiafomba has garnered impressive numbers since its release on major digital streaming platforms”.

Sulemana lauded the dedication and perseverance of other young rising artists in the Bono Region like Amerro Twist, Alka Youngest, Tha Blackboi, Fali Finest, calling for support towards building the talents of the young and talented musicians.

He said the nation’s music industry had a huge potential to create more job opportunities for the contemporary generation, saying with little push from the government, the emerging artists could put the nation on international spotlight.
