Wendy Shay breaks silence on viral Lasmid hand-on-thigh moment

Wendy Shay has finally put to rest lingering social media buzz following her viral moment with fellow musician Lasmid.

The two musicians sparked conversation after a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot of their upcoming collaboration showed them seated closely together on a chair.

In the clip, Lasmid appeared to place his hand on Wendy Shay’s thigh, which she responded immediately by shoving his hand away.

The brief exchange quickly attracted attention online, with some viewers suggesting that the singer was visibly uncomfortable with the gesture.

Wendy Shay, however, says there was no tension between them.

Reacting to the buzz, she explained that she moved Lasmid’s hand because she was trying to adjust her position and sit properly for the shot.

According to her, she wanted to move towards the edge of the chair, but her position made it difficult to do so comfortably without moving his hand.

“Honestly, it’s so unbelievable that none of you could see exactly what happened. I have a rapport with him; that was why I was able to remove his hands. If I didn’t have that rapport, I wouldn’t be able to remove his hands,” she said.

The singer said the moment had been taken out of context and turned into something more dramatic than it actually was.

“Everything is blown out of proportion. The biggest was sitting in the chair, and I wanted to sit on the edge, but because I have a fat ass with hips, I had to remove his hands so I could sit well. So the picture could be nice. He is my guy,” she added.

However, Wendy Shay’s explanation has failed to convince netizens, with different interpretations of the interaction still being circulated.
