Delta Air Lines named Most On-Time North America Airline in 2025

Delta Air Lines named Most On-Time North America Airline in 2025

Delta Air Lines has been named the top on-time airline in North America by aviation analytics company, Cirium, for the fifth consecutive year.

The recognition reflects the airline’s commitment to safety, reliability and service, a release from Kingdom Consult Concepts copied to Ghana News Agency, said.

“Delta’s 2025 performance topped all North American carriers, with 80.9% of 1.8 million flights arriving within 15 minutes of schedule, per Cirium’s measurement.

“This surpassed the nearest competitor by 1.7 percentage points on more than four times the flight volume,” it said

Delta was the only United States carrier in Cirium’s Top 10 Global Airlines on-time performance rankings, the release added.

Cirium is an aviation data analytics company that provides flight data, analytics, and insights for airlines, airports, and travel businesses.

Mr John Laughter, Delta’s E.V.P and Chief of Operations, expressed satisfaction about the recognition.

“Earning top marks for North American operators for five years running is a testament to the industry-leading teamwork of Delta people and a direct result of their dedication to our customers and each other.”

“Every day, Delta people keep safety at the forefront while remaining steadfastly focused on on-time performance,” he stated.

Delta Air Lines has been repeatedly honoured for operational and service excellence, including awards from J.D. Power, The Points Guy, Skytrax, reinforcing its position as America’s most awarded airline.

In December 2025, the Airline officially launched its expanded seasonal Accra–Atlanta, United States, service at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in Accra.

The daily service was in response to strong travel demand between the US and Ghana, particularly, during the peak December-January holiday season.

“The new service adds to Delta’s year-round daily flights from New York-JFK, offering greater flexibility for both business and leisure travellers,” the company said.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Rolf Olson, Chargé d’Affaires, US Embassy, Ghana, said the expanded Accra–Atlanta service symbolised the strengthening partnership between Ghana and the United States.

“More than a convenient connection, this route opens doors for economic growth, cultural exchange, and collaboration, providing new pathways for people to engage across continents,” he stated.
