Ghanaian comedian Ebenezer Kwasi Antwi, popularly known as Dr. Likee, has paid a courtesy visit to Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Zita Sabah Benson, ahead of his comedy show at Indigo at The O2 on May 22, 2026.

The visit formed part of efforts to formally engage the mission and strengthen ties between Ghana’s entertainment industry, the diaspora community in the United Kingdom and diplomatic representatives, while also highlighting the growing role of Ghanaian creatives in promoting national culture abroad.

The highly anticipated event, scheduled for Indigo at The O2, will feature a wide array of Ghanaian talent across comedy, music and film, underscoring the growing export of Ghanaian popular culture to global audiences.

The show will feature prominent Kumawood actors including Akrobeto, Nana Ama McBrown, Vivian Jill Lawrence and Papa Kumasi, many of whom shared the screen with Dr. Likee during the peak years of Ghana’s movie industry, where he became known for his notorious character roles.

The event is expected to deliver a dynamic mix of stand-up comedy, music and theatrical stage performances, reflecting the growing sophistication and export potential of Ghanaian live entertainment.

During the meeting, High Commissioner Benson commended Dr. Likee for contributing to the promotion of Ghana’s entertainment industry on the international stage and expressed support for a successful event, while emphasizing the important role of the creative sector in advancing cultural diplomacy.
