An accident on the Tatale–Zabzugu road on Friday night, October 24, claimed three lives and left more than ten others injured.
According to reports, the crash occurred when a Kia truck with registration number GW-5828-17, carrying traders returning from the Kukpalgu market, collided with a stationary Motorking tricycle that had broken down and been left on the road.
Eyewitnesses said the bright lights from an oncoming vehicle from the Zabzugu direction impaired the Kia truck driver’s visibility, causing him to crash into the stationary tricycle.
Two people reportedly died on the spot, while another died upon arrival at the Tatale District Hospital. Over ten others who sustained injuries are receiving treatment at the same hospital.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the hospital morgue.
