2025 recruitment: GAF announces dates for documentation and screening

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced that the documentation and body selection phase for the 2025 recruitment exercise will take place from Tuesday, November 12, to Wednesday, November 13, 2025, at officially designated screening centres across the country.

In a statement released on Sunday, GAF said the exercise applies to all candidates who successfully completed the online application process for enlistment into the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

The recruitment drive, which began on October 1, 2025, initially had a closing date of October 31 but was extended to November 7 to allow more applicants to complete their submissions after some technical issues were experienced on the online portal.

Officials explained that the 2025 recruitment has been decentralised across all 16 regional capitals to make the process more accessible and efficient for qualified Ghanaians nationwide.

According to GAF, this year’s exercise forms part of a broader plan to recruit 12,000 new personnel into the Armed Forces over the next three and a half years, as part of efforts to strengthen national security and operational readiness.

The statement outlined the minimum height requirements for applicants: 1.68 metres for males and 1.57 metres for females. For those applying to the Military Police, stricter criteria apply — 1.75 metres for men and 1.70 metres for women.

The body selection phase, also known as the attestation stage, includes final physical examinations and verification of personal documents.

Applicants are reminded to bring their application summary report, original educational certificates, and birth certificates to the screening centres for inspection.

GAF emphasised that the documentation and body selection scheduled for November 12–13 mark a crucial step in finalising the 2025/2026 recruitment process, which aims to ensure that only the most qualified and disciplined candidates are admitted into service.
